Each year, Kelley Blue Book (KBB) analyzes automotive companies to determine those with the best brand image. The winners of this critical analysis go on to win the Brand Image Awards across seven categories (with a mass-market winner and a luxury winner for each category): Most Trusted Brands, Best Value Brands, Most Refined Brands, Best Performance Brands, Best Styling Brands, Best Overall Truck Brand (no luxury winner here), and Best Overall Brands.
It’s no surprise that of the seven awards, Honda took home three in the mass-market division for 2019.
2019 Honda – Most Refined Brand
For starters, Honda earned the Most Refined Brand Award because of its elegant styling at a more affordable price. According to KBB, this gives you “the perception that you are getting a vehicle that has the presence of one that’s a class higher.” KBB also lauded not just the quality of materials used in Honda models, but how they come together in a solid, sleek-looking automobile with a clean interior.
2019 Honda – Best Value Brand
Honda was also named the Best Value Brand winner for 2019. This marks the fifth year in a row that Honda has claimed this distinct honor. Why does Honda excel in this category? According to KBB, it’s because of Honda’s “great reputation for durability, reliability, and resale value.” Specifically, Honda excels in the sedan and crossover segments, where models like the Accord, Civic, Pilot, and CR-V offer better and more amenities than competing models.
2019 Honda – Best Overall Brand
Finally, and most importantly, Honda was named the Best Overall Brand, KBB’s top honor as far as Brand Image Awards are concerned. KBB complimented Honda’s wide range of vehicles, including everything from a truck and minivan to coupes, crossovers, sedans, and SUVs. “Honda is committed to having a vehicle that’s suited for both first-time buyers and loyal owners looking for that next Honda to fit their current needs,” according to KBB.
